Your FirSt lessons
On your very first lesson at Weston Taekwondo, your child will be welcomed with energy, encouragement and a sense of achievement from the moment they step into the Dojang (our name for the training /sports hall).
During the introductory period, they will learn the basics of respect, focus, and balance through simple yet exciting Taekwondo movements, while building confidence as they participate in fun group activities.
Parents quickly see the benefits: improved self-discipline, better concentration at school, boosted fitness and a positive outlet for energy.
Every child progresses at their own pace, working towards earning new belts as they achieve clear goals, which gives them pride in their achievements and teaches our students the value of perseverance.
Everyone starts without a belt. Even when you purchase your first Dobok (training suit), students are trained to be able to perform 3 basic movements to earn their right to wear their first belt, those movements are

- 10 rising kicks with each leg
- 10 good, powerful, confident punches in a sitting stance
